Just like any relationship, you need to get to know someone a little bit first before you jump right into getting married, and that’s exactly how we approach helping you optimize your digital marketing campaigns.

Step #1 – Digital Marketing Checkup

For us, each relationship starts by analyzing your current digital marketing campaigns through a custom Digital Marketing Checkup which aims to uncover the issues and problems holding back your results and opportunities you can exploit to improve them.

If we were your doctor, this would be the same as checking your height, weight, and blood pressure, as well as sending you to the clinic for some blood work and a urine test.  Just the same as those tests and measurements are the baseline analysis of your health, the same is true of the Digital Marketing Checkup for your digital marketing campaigns.

When providing a Digital Marketing Checkup of your website and digital marketing campaigns, we focus on reviewing and analyzing your website, social media presence, organic rankings, PPC campaigns, and all other aspects of your current digital marketing strategy.

We’ll even look at your top 3 competitors to see what they’re doing in comparison to your online presence, both to better understand how your website stacks up against theirs and find different opportunities you can exploit to improve your results. 

Since we rely on using tools and strategies that allow us to dig into what’s happening through information that’s publicly available, we won’t even need access to your website and tracking data, or your competitors, to collect the information we need to properly analyze your digital marketing campaigns.

Once completed, we’ll provide the results of our analysis in a PDF document and review them with you during a 1 hour review call.  During the review call, we’ll answer any questions you have about the issues discovered and opportunities found.

Step #2 – Digital Marketing Blueprint

At the end of the review call, we’ll provide you with a Digital Marketing Blueprint which takes into consideration the results of your Digital Marketing Checkup and offer the next steps that should be taken to optimize your campaigns.

This Digital Marketing Blueprint will provide an outline for the next 90 days so you’ll know exactly what needs to happen, why it needs to happen, and how it will benefit your campaigns.

Going back to the doctor analogy, this would be the same as the further testing, remedy or prescription they give you to resolve the health issues found during their health check.

In some cases it might be a medication, in others it might be to avoid certain foods or exercise more and just as those recommendations and suggestions can help improve your health, the same is true of the Digital Marketing Blueprint that outlines the remedy for your digital marketing campaigns.

At this point, you can either choose to implement the Digital Marketing Blueprint yourself, do nothing with the information we’ve provided, or hire us to execute and implement them for you.  The choice is yours.

Step #3 – Digital Marketing Analysis

Depending on what’s discovered during the Digital Marketing Checkup and recommended as part of the Digital Marketing Blueprint, additional analyses might be required to review and audit your organic rankings, backlinks, content, on-page optimization, and competitors in more depth than could be achieved with your Digital Marketing Checkup.

It all just depends on the scope of your online presence.  The more pages on your website, the more traffic channels you use to generate website visitors, the more competitors you have, the bigger the market you’re targeting, the more likely it is we’ll need to dig into your campaigns further to figure things out.

In the case of a health checkup with your doctor, this would be the same as getting an x-ray, CAT scan, cancer screening, ECG, MRI scan, or any of the other medical procedure that might be prescribed to you to help identify the source of your health issues.  

Except we’re not going to hook you up to anything or poke and prod you to get at the information we need to further analyze your digital marketing campaigns.

That being said, we will need access to your Google Analytics data, Google My Business data, and any other information so we can dig deeper into your campaigns and the results you’ve been able to produce from them thus far.

Step #4 – Optimization Roadmap

Once all aspects of your campaigns that been thoroughly analyzed to best understand what’s working and what needs to be improved, we’ll have all the pieces of the puzzle needed to create and execute an effective digital marketing campaign which addresses the issues holding back your results and maximizes the opportunities you can exploit.

If additional analyses were required, we’ll uncover additional issues and opportunities to provide further direction with regards to your campaigns and the specific action items that need to be implemented as part of your optimization road map.

Otherwise, the Digital Marketing Blueprint should give us everything we need to understand what needs to be done to optimize your digital marketing campaigns and we can skip past Step #3 to executing the action items noted in the Digital Marketing Blueprint as part of your Optimization Roadmap.

At this point, you can either choose to implement the Optimization Roadmap yourself, done nothing with the information we’ve provided, or hire us to execute and implement them for you.  The choice is yours.

How long will it take to generate results?

Since all of the projects we work on are different (types of websites, traffic sources, etc.) and time frames may often be out of our control (for example, your developer may not have the time available in their schedule to work on our recommendations), that’s a difficult question to answer accurately.

That being said, within the first 90-180 days from the start of the project, most, if not all, clients will experience improvements to their current digital marketing campaigns.

At Aquarius Digital Media, we always like to start a project with some quick wins first so that the project starts to pay for itself almost immediately. That way, you can feel confident in our abilities and comfortable continuing to allow us to work on your behalf right from the start of our relationship.

Can you guarantee results?

While we would love nothing more than to be able to guarantee our results, there are just too many variables, especially when it
comes to SEO since Google’s algorithm is a secret and paid traffic since there are so many levers to pull and adjust, for us to be able to do that.

That being said, our successful track record across all sorts of different sectors (see our case studies and testimonials), our years of experience creating, managing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns, and our drive to generate results for you and your business means we aren’t happy with the results unless you are.

How do you measure results?

To ensure we’re meeting the goals for your business, we benchmark your campaign at the onset of the campaign using comprehensive tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, ahrefs, etc.) that track your results and then measure the improvements on a monthly basis.

This ensures everyone understands the initial numbers we’re working with and allows both of us (your company and ours) to track and analyze the results our digital marketing campaigns are generating.

How do you report on my campaign?

The most successful marketing campaigns are built on trusted partnerships. We view our relationship as a partnership in which we are an extension of your business. Great partnerships require timely communication, input and task completion in order to be successful.

Monthly marketing reporting is created by Aquarius Digital Media to give you full transparency into the work being done and results of those efforts.

Every quarter, we’ll setup a review call with you to discuss the performance of your digital marketing campaigns. As needed, we’d be happy to scheduled additional calls outside of your quarterly review, typically at our current consulting rates. Otherwise, your monthly reports and any communications between us and yourself within your client portal will keep everyone on the same page with regards to the work being done on your campaigns and the results they’re producing.

Do you have minimum contract lengths?

While we do use contracts and like to have long-term projects in place, we are happy to work on short-term or even rolling monthly contracts.

We generally prefer to have longer agreements in place (a 6-month minimum retainer is recommended), as it helps us with long-term planning for our projects (we can use tactics that may take a couple of months to implement, but will give much better results), as well as makes sure we always have enough resources to cover our expenses effectively.

Do you have a minimum starting price or budget?

We don’t have any pre-packaged services, nor do we have any monthly minimums to work with us. In fact, our ability to handle all budgets – big, small and in-between – is one of the many things that set us apart.

Starting with our Digital Marketing Checkup, your campaign is evaluated based on your goals, needs, opportunities, and obstacles. From there, we’ll discuss our recommendations and the options available to you to improve the results you’re generating from your digital marketing campaigns.

That being said, you get back what you put in so if you can’t afford a comfortable monthly marketing budget of at least $1,000 per month, we’ll advise you on the other options available to you such as our Mastermind and Consulting services.

When is payment due and how do you invoice and accept payment?

For all one-time solutions (website design, app development, digital marketing checkup, GMB optimization, citation cleanup, etc.) we bill 50% of the project costs when we start working on the project, 25% at the mid-way point, and the remaining 25% at the completion of the project.

For all monthly retainer solutions (SEO, PPC, review management, reputation management, etc.) we bill on the first day of each calendar month.

Should you rather not pay monthly over the course of the term of our engagement with you, we offer up-front payment terms which allow you to invest the full amount required to manage your campaigns and are happy to offer a discount when you choose to pay for a 6 or 12-month engagement upfront.

We accept payment by PayPal or credit card using Stripe as our payment processor.

Can our digital marketing campaigns be paused?

We strongly advise against starting and stopping your digital marketing campaigns.

Digital marketing is not a sprint, it is a marathon, and results take time to develop. As with most things, especially marketing and advertising your business, the continuity of effort is one of the greatest factors in determining the results you experience.

Should you choose to pause your campaigns, not only will you likely miss out of the results you were experiencing, but the opportunity will be there for your competition to take advantage of your lack of investment and rise above you.

So unless you’re comfortable sending our customers to your competition, we wouldn’t suggest pausing your campaigns. If needed, we can discuss options to adjust your campaigns, but they should always be active.

Do you outsource any of your work?

Yes, we do. That being said, that doesn’t mean we’re using cheap labor or people who aren’t skilled in their areas of expertise.

While we would love to be experts in absolutely everything involved with digital marketing, the scope and pace of change in this industry makes that a difficult task.

At Aquarius Digital Media, we believe that to create something exceptional you have to use the best resources available and have developed a trusted set of expert partners who not only produce work to the standard we require for our clients, but results as well.

Which qualifications do you hold?

Due to its nature, there are relatively few qualifications available within the digital marketing industry.

However, at Aquarius Digital Marketing, the suppliers we work with are experts in their fields and as such, have the skills, expertise, and experience to handle your digital marketing campaigns.

As the digital marketing industry continues to mature, more and more associations and third-party companies will continue to develop their own certifications in an effort to continue to bring legitimacy to the industry and Aquarius Digital Media will continue to remain on the cusp of these developments.

That being said, there are a number of certifications and badges being offered to anyone willing to pay the fee to have them branded for their business, so it’s always a good idea to take any certification, regardless of the source, with a grain of salt.

Even Google offers a paid Mobile Web Specialist certification that anyone with the time and money can purchase to earn that badge and there are many others, from much less reputable sources, offering the same pay-to-display certification process.

If you’re impressed by someone who can read some materials and pass a test, there a tons of providers out there and people who make their careers earning Master’s degrees and P.h.D’s who’d be happy to take your money and learn how things work in the real world on the fly.

At the end of the day, no piece of paper can hold a candle to the kind of knowledge, expertise, and skills one gains by being in the trenches so if you’re thinking about working with us we’d suggest you check out our case studies to see for yourself the kinds of results we’ve been able to help our clients achieve.
